Counseling perspective

Are you experiencing feelings of anxiety, a depressed mood and don’t know where to turn to? Asking for help is hard. With all of life’s challenges you do not have to go through it alone. Working with a trained, licensed therapist is the first step towards asking for and receiving help. As a therapist, I focus on people’s thoughts and behavior patterns to help address the negative repeated patterns in their life. For many and most people, our early childhood years play a vital role in shaping our learned behaviors and leave us with trauma we still carry as adults.

I help my clients learn how to form healthy thoughts and actions, and discuss how this can be used in daily life. In therapy we will work collaboratively to identify what prevents you from getting to your best self. Christian counseling available by request, where I integrate both a biblical perspective and evidenced -based therapy methods into the session.

Above all, I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the most important and that growth can only truly happen if there is trust and respect between the client and therapist.
